Project Goal: The goal of this project was to design and implement signage for the company’s new office, ensuring it was not only visually appealing but also compliant with building codes for disabilities and inclusivity. The signage needed to effectively guide employees and visitors while reflecting the company’s brand identity. Experience: As an intern, I collaborated closely with my boss, the graphic design/communication director, and a partner from the firm over several months. I learned about the intricacies of signage design, including typography, color schemes, and layout, while also gaining insight into accessibility requirements. This project was a steep learning curve, as I had no prior experience with signage, but the guidance and feedback from my team were invaluable. I conducted research on best practices and explored various design concepts to create a cohesive look that aligned with the new office space. Outcome: The signage was successfully designed and implemented in the new office, transforming the space and enhancing navigation for all visitors. It featured clear, inclusive language and visual elements that complemented the overall aesthetic of the office.
